As you can see, Grant's party was John Deer themed. Chad decorated the cake (I baked it) and I thought it turned out so cute! He made a homemade buttercream icing for the yellow part and the "grass". He used fondant for the letters and the John Deer symbol. By printing out a picture of the symbol, he was able to make somewhat of a stencil out of the paper and cut the fondant out around it and then used cookie cutters to make the letters (and the 2). The kids had a great time playing outside after presents and cake. Sophie didn't really know how to act being able to just run around freely. Chad said she kind of walked sideways at first. You can see that she is using her "boxing out" skills trying to keep Lane from getting the ball from her. I have a feeling she might have a bit of my aggressiveness in her! She also got right in there with the boys when they started playing in the dirt (that is like her Daddy). We had a great time celebrating Grant's second birthday!
