Sophie's 55th Week at Church

I had left early this Sunday morning (4am). This was the beginning of Sophie's week with her Daddy. They had lunch at the church that day and then play practice that evening. Grandmama, Nanny and even Aunt Morgan watched Sophie during the week when Chad was at work. I am very thankful for a wonderful husband who was willing to take on this task while I took an opportunity to explore a new sales possibility.

Decorating For Christmas!

Chad started putting up the tree on Saturday afternoon. Sophie was happy to help with the ornaments and we let her put up her new ornaments from her birthday. We got out her Little People Nativity set that the Truitt's gave her last year for Christmas and she played while Chad decorated (I don't remember what I was doing, but it wasn't very productive). Sophie loves the nativity set and she "kisses" baby Jesus and puts him in the manger. If you notice in one of the pictures she has on some pink boots - we got them at Marty and Liz earlier that day - her first pair of shoes from our favorite shoe store!!
I left on Sunday morning for a trip to Vermont with my Dad and his boss. Sophie spent the week with her Daddy and Grandmama and Nanny watched her while he was at work. I missed her like crazy, but I know she was in good hands. Chad said she would go up to the tree and do her little "hot dog" dance. For those of you who don't watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, it is a song they play at the end of every episode. Sophie bounces up and down and says her own version of "hot dog".

The Big 30

We celebrated my 30th birthday (and Chad's 29th) at Cathay (a new hibachi restaurant near our house). Mom and Morgan joined us again since they were in town and Chad's family (Dustin and Andriana were at a church event). Sophie got a little scared of the fire on the grill, but we had a great time. They sang happy birthday to us. Sophie and Grant had the best time with my balloon (Nanny wanted to make sure everyone new I was turning 30). Thanks to everyone for making my birthday special:)

Fun Birthday Stuff...

I thought I would take a picture of all our birthday cards we got this week and the ornaments that the three of us got for our birthdays. If you can't tell, we are little obsessed with the hallmark ornaments. Chad always gets the super heros and I get the barbies, but now we have Sophie and there are sooo many cute ones! We are in trouble! Chad also surprised me with a beautiful pearl ring. We have been looking for the perfect pearl ring for years and I think he found it!

Thanksgiving at Granny and PaPa's

Sophie had fun playing with all the toys at Granny's. Taking a picture of she and Grant was a hilarious. They were in a rocking recliner and they quickly realized they could make it rock and it was all over then. The video of us taking these pictures would be better - Nanny and Grandpa were jumping up at the same time to get them to smile at the same time. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and have a lot to be thankful for!

Thanksgiving Service at Enon

We spent Thanksgiving morning at the church where Mammy grew up. Chad has been going to this service almost every year since he was born. I think his mom said the only one she has missed in 30 years was when Chad was born. They have a potluck lunch after the service and we celebrated with the McClaran side of the family. We went home afterwards for a family nap before going back to Eagleville for dinner at Granny's.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Chad turned 29 on Wednesday. We went to the community church service in Eagleville that night and then went by Nanny and Grandpa's afterward to eat pumpkin cheesecake. We had already planned to eat out on Friday night in celebration of both our birthdays so we decided on a quick dessert since we had church.

Babysitting Karlee and Hangin out with Misty:)

Karlee came to stay on Wednesday since Grandmama went into Sevierville for Thanksgiving. Misty found out she got a job offer (congratulations!) and came over to hangout for the afternoon. Both the girls took a nap (Sophie even slept in her crib!) so we had time to celebrate with a glass of wine that Grandaddy brought back from his recent trip to Italy. Misty helped clean up the house and kept me company while I cooked dinner and made cheesecakes for Chad's birthday and Thanksgiving. It was a fun day! Thank goodness for naps and good friends:)

Mama and Daddy Birthday Celebration (#1)

We celebrated mine and Chad's birthday's with my side on Monday night. Grandaddy was going to be out of town for work and Amber and James were going to Atlanta so we decided to get together a few days early. We had a wonderful meal at Carrabba's (our favorite)!

Amanda's Baby Shower

We celebrated the upcoming arrival of Wyatt on Sunday after church. Sophie had a good time pushing a chair around the community center and playing with everyone. This was the first time she was allowed down on the floor since she can walk now. A picture of the cousins that were helping with the shower and some close-ups of the decorations. Chad went with a cowboy theme for this one (he didn't make the cake, but it went along with the theme so well). Amanda is due at the end of January...won't be long!
