Toot's with The Cooper's

Brian, Jennifer and the boys were in town and called to see if we wanted to meet at the new Toot's down from our house. We were just going to make do and hadn't started dinner so we took them up on the offer. Wednesday is their chicken finger basket deal so we ate pretty cheap. At lunch the basket is $3.99 and dinner $5.25...still not bad. Kids get a free hot dog, fries and ice cream so we go with that even though it kind of grosses me out to give her hot dog. I don't know if it is a special every Wednesday, but draft beer is just $1.05 (you could get two for less than a sweet tea $2.40)....not that I was drinking. It is a fun, family friendly atmosphere with great specials. I'm glad we have the one on our side of town now!

Lunch at Granny's

We had lunch at Granny's and Sophie got to play with her cousins. Granny hasn't been feeling well for weeks now and hasn't been able to cook, but Aunt Joyce made lunch since their cousin Glo was coming out to visit for the day. We are missing Lane in the picture, but hopefully we can get them all in a picture together on Saturday at Lane's birthday party.

Wild Things

Sophie had fun at her wild things class. There was only one other girl in the class full of boys. They learned about sunflowers and learned a new little song where they looked up at the sun like the sunflower...as you can see Sophie was getting into the movements.

I Need a Digital Camera Temporarily...

I am going to have to send our Nikon off to get fixed. We just got it in April and noticed at a graduation in May that our flash isn't working right and the lens catches when we are focusing. I have been putting off sending it to Nikon (which will take around 2 weeks) because I don't want to be without a camera. It is still under warranty and it isn't getting any better so I know I need to just do it.

Anybody have a digital camera I can borrow for a few weeks? I don't know what I'll do without a camera!!!

A Very Pregnant Thing to Do...

After Chad put Sophie to bed last night at 8:30pm, I decided I wanted something sweet from Sonic (there is one just down the street). Their sign advertises 99 cent sundaes after 8pm so that sounded good to me. Chad thought it was funny that I hadn't wanted to get up to refill my water (that he got for me before sitting back down) but that I would get in the car and drive to Sonic. Of course I was already in my gown and didn't even bother to change. Just thought it was a very pregnant thing to do. The sundae was great and hit the spot!

Spending the Day with Karlee and Katelyn

Sophie and I spent the day with Karlee and Katelyn on Monday. Sophie and Karlee had a lot of fun just running around and playing. When we were having lunch I noticed that Karlee wasn't acting like herself and then realized she was running a fever when I got her out of her highchair. Turns out she is getting her 2 year molars and has had a little bit of a rough time this week. Not the best timing for her to be waking up in pain during the middle of the night.
Katelyn had her first doctor's appointment and I snapped a picture just before Amber took her. She is changing every day! Katelyn got a good report and has been doing great!

Haynes Family Reunion

We stopped by the Haynes Family Reunion after church. Granny was a Haynes. Sophie had fun running around and playing with Papa's cane. Grandpa got to show her off to his cousins and Chad shared some pictures he had found at Granny's and made copies of last year.
Kristin, Jeff and Elise stopped by on their way back to Atlanta and visited for a little while. Sophie was so excited about Elise and tried to read her a book. I can't wait to see them play together when Elise gets a little older!

Sophie's 84th Sunday at Church

After church, we had a potluck lunch to celebrate the upcoming marriage of two of our members. While everything was getting set up, Eliza gathered the kids to sit at a table where she was "the teacher." It was pretty cute!

Carrabba's Amici Club

Chad, Sophie, Grandmama and I attended a complimentary lunch on Saturday at the Carrabba's in Murfreesboro. Chad and I had signed up to be Amici Club members almost a year ago and have gotten free appetizer or dessert coupons for our birthdays and now this free lunch. We weren't sure what at expect, but we rsvp'd for ourselves and a guest each.
It was actually much more than we expected. Lunch was served somewhat family style with larger tables so we sat with a few others that we didn't know. Drinks were included, appetizers were calamari and a new pizza (which we loved), we had a choice of two different salads, a new chicken dish, two different pastas and mashed potatoes (served family style) and finished off with dessert.
If you aren't a member already, I would recommend joining The Amici Club.

Just another reason we love Carrabba's!

Sophie and Elise

Kristin, Jeff and Elise stayed the night with us on Friday night before meeting up with her parents in Nashville Saturday around noon. It was Elise's first night away from home (she was born March 11th). We had such a great time getting to see them and Elise is such a happy baby...as you can see. We found a couple of Sophie's smaller bows and passed them on to Elise.

Katelyn's First Night Home...

Chad, Sophie and I made dinner at Amber's house for their first night home. We finally got to see her eyes open! I think she looks a lot like Amber's baby pictures, but their is no denying she looks a lot like Karlee. Karlee and Sophie are really sweet with her...she is going to have to be a tough little girl b/c they aren't always the most gentle.
Gotta love picture I caught of Sophie pitching a little fit:)

Shopping Day with Eliza Kate...

Eliza and Elizabeth joined us on a little shopping trip to Franklin. I was a little disappointed in the sale at For Every Child and only left with two things...one for Sophie and one for Sutton. It is really hard to find things for newborn boys!
We had Sweet Cece's frozen yogurt afterwards. I had heard from another pregnant friend that you get a buy one get one free if you are pregnant:) Good thing we don't live too close or I would be there all the time! After a few more errands we ate lunch at Calypso...another favorite.

Sophie Meets Katelyn

Sophie and I went to see Katelyn on Wednesday. Aunt Morgan rode with us and we got there about the same time as Grandmama and Karlee. The girls were loving on Grandmama when she was holding Katelyn and it was pretty cute. We had a good visit, but kept it fairly short since the hospital is not the easiest place to keep a 1 1/2 year old entertained.

Pictures of Katelyn James Alfonso

Here are the pictures from Katelyn's birthday:) Karlee kept saying "happy to-to Katelyn" which is her way of saying happy birthday. Did I mention how cute Karlee was with Katelyn??? She loves her so much already!!! I can't wait to see the two of them together.
Sophie stayed at Nanny's today b/c she woke up with a fever (and had been running one off and on yesterday.) I really think it is her reaction to teething, but didn't want to take any chances.
