Sophie's New Toy

Daddy put together Sophie's new toy that she got for Christmas. She was trying to take it all in and pretty entertained. I really liked the toy more than I thought. We will have to keep an eye on her while she plays since she tries to put everything in her mouth and can sometimes go at the hard plastic a little too fast and hard. She kept looking over at her old toy so we let her play there for a while too. She is getting so good at sitting up and pressing all the buttons. She is a girl on a mission!

Rising Star Competition Semi Finals

We went to watch our friend Holly Cormier compete in the semi finals of the Rising Star contest at Puckett's Grocery in Franklin. She amazed the crowd and judges once again and made it to the top four. We will get to watch her compete for the grand prize next Friday night. This was one of the pictures we got of Sophie during the competition. She was loving the napkin and trying to put everything she could get her hands on into her mouth. She was exhausted by the end of the night and had gone to sleep so we didn't get to set up any pictures with Holly. We'll get more next week. Grandmama came along with us and instantly became a fan. She will be coming back next week with Grandaddy if all goes as planned. Grandaddy has been traveling for work this week so we wanted Grandmama to get out and have fun with us:)

Anniversary Celebration at Demos's

We celebrated Nanny and Grandpa's 30th Anniversary at Demos's. We had a good time with family!

Happy Anniversary Nanny and Grandpa

Nanny and Grandpa celebrated their 30th Anniversary on Monday. Chad gave them a hibiscus plant when he dropped Sophie off that morning. We went to dinner with the family that night to celebrate

Sunday Lunch at Granny's with the Cousins

We had lunch at Granny's after church and Sophie got to play with her cousins. As you can see, it gets a little wild with the boys. Pretty soon Sophie will be right there with them! Cason, Grant, Lane and Sophie are going to be best buddies:)

Sophie's 25th Week at Church

Sophie had another great Sunday at church. It is getting harder to keep her entertained the whole time. She gets a little antsy by the end. Even if she is tired she fights the sleep because there is too much going on. We haven't had to take her out of church except for maybe once in the very beginning. We are lucky to have such a well behaved child. We'll see how long this lasts!

Sophie's First Yard Sale

We decided to have a yard sale to make room for all of Sophie's stuff. Grandmama started on Friday and handled it all by herself. She brought over some of her stuff to sell, but didn't have as much luck (she wants the prices she paid for the stuff). We made almost $300 and didn't sell anything over $5 and nothing that we even had to second guess selling anything. Chad is finally making a dent in the garage...maybe one day we can put a car in there.

Looking Like It Might Be A Good Night

While Chad and I were getting the clothes ready for the yard sale, Sophie fell asleep on her own in her crib. I was so hopeful for a good night of sleep since she seemed soooo peaceful. Needless to say it wasn't exactly a peaceful night. This was the first of several restless nights. She was always so good about going right back to sleep after I would feed her in the middle of the night, but for some reason she still screamed! Chad ended up falling asleep in the chair with her (on more than one occasion). I think he slept up there for 3 hours one night. I would hear her crying on the monitor and then realize Chad wasn't even in the bed. Don't know what this was all about, but she finally got back to a normal schedule on Monday.

Mom Clothes

In preparation for our yard sale, we pulled out all the clothes we had stored in the guest room closet. I made separate piles for 1) things I couldn't fit in now, but loved and hoped to wear again some day 2) maternity clothes 3)the things that were cute at one time, but would never be appropriate for a mother. I put a lot in the yard sale, but couldn't hardly part with the bikini (don't worry...I will probably never wear it again) I just love it too much!! I joked with Chad saying it was hard to tell which pile of clothes I would get back into first...the maternity or the skinny clothes.

Thursday night Feeding Frenzy

We helped serve food to the students at MTSU's Presbyterian Student Fellowship on Thursday night. Our church feeds the students for their "Feeding Frenzy" about 3 times a school year. We enjoy getting to meet the students and share in the fellowship.

Sleepy Girl

Thought this was cute of her holding her own hand while she slept.

Sophie Gets Bananas and Cereal

Grandmama and Grandaddy came over for dinner and we let Grandmama feed Sophie. She is getting so much better at eating...still a little messy. She really reaches for the food and wants to hold the spoon herself...who would have thought my child would be little miss independent! Mom also put the food on her toe and let her lick it (I didn't like that so much). She was a little messy after the feeding so Grandmama gave her a bath.

Sophie's 24th Week at Church

Eliza had her first experience with sponge rollers and looked so adorable at church. She and Sophie are going to be such good friends. Sophie was loving being held by Uncle Bill and was so content...it was so cute. Sophie got tired of the pictures and got her little feelings hurt...how quickly the tables can turn. We at lunch at Granny and PaPa's after church.

Family Night

The family met up at the mexican restaurant for dinner. Cousin Lexie was also in town for the weekend to stay with her favorite Aunt Karen. The girls had a good time playing in Sophie's nursery. They are really interacting now and getting so much more mobile. Karlee is crawling now...which is crazy! They are sooo cute together!
