Happy Birthday Mamaw Rhea!

Mamaw Rhea turned 70 today. She isn't doing that well. Saturday they took her to the ER and she was admitted and then sent to Knoxville the next day to ICU with pneumonia in both lungs. Amber and I were going to go up for the day today and visit her in the hospital, but decided it wasn't the best idea with the girls since we didn't really know about the pneumonia.
We have known for about 2 months that the cancer was back and she started a new treatment of pills. Chad, Sophie and I just saw her on the 4th of July and she was looking good and seemed to be doing well, but things have gone down hill quickly. She has been really sick and weak...of course this pneumonia isn't helping. Yesterday they got test results back that showed the cancer has spread and today the doctor is giving her 2 months to live. They are sending her home with hospice. Dad got up there and talked to the doctor and found out more details. We had been thinking that the cancer had went away and she was in "remission" but he said that was never the case and they were only trying to "keep a lid" on the cancer that was there. I'm sure Mamaw's positive outlook and faithful attitude is what mislead those of us who weren't able to hear news directly from the doctor. She has been so strong through it all and trusting in the Lord.
Apparently the cancer is in the adrenal gland now and there is nothing more they can do. Please keep her in your prayers as she faces what could be a painful few months.
