Sophie's First Stick Horse Race

Well not really a race, but more like they were "showing" their horse. It was super cute! We practiced "riding" at Grandmama's (luckily she had a stick horse for the girls) and Sophie's first instinct was to just sit on it on the floor and bounce up and down. When they entered the ring, Sophie wasn't really into riding so Grandpa carried it until they got to middle. She was really working it when they got in front of the crowd. She got a blue ribbon and two dollars...she was pretty proud of her prize. Oh...we also had to enter her in the showing and name her horse. We asked her what she wanted it's name to be and she first said Grandpa, but ended up with "Mickey".
It was super hot and Chad needed to stay and help with the concessions. This is the Eagleville Horse Show that the Lions Club puts on and Papa, Grandpa and Uncle Dustin are all members so it is pretty much the Lamb family running the concession stand. Nanny, Grant, Luke, Sophie and I went back to Nanny's to stay cool while Jennifer and Chad helped.
