Thanksgiving was also Mama's (Jodi) Birthday this year and we had a busy day. Sophie and her Dad worked on the Christmas tree while watching the Macy's Parade that morning and then we went to Grandmama Karen's for lunch. We had lots of great food and it turned into a photo session with Sophie and Karlee with all the fall decorations around the house. As you can see from the pictures, Sophie was asleep for almost the entire time just giving a peek of her eyes occasionally. This is just the beginning of her days of being photographed her Daddy goes a little overboard. Around 4:30pm we left and went to Eagleville to eat at Granny and Papa's (there were over 30 family members there). Sophie slept the entire time!!! Sophie got lots of rest that day, but Mama had her first Thanksgiving without a nap (unless you count the few minutes in the car on the way to Eagleville...kind of defeats the purpose of me sitting in the back with Sophie if I fall asleep). We stopped by Mammy and Pappy's on the way home and Sophie finally woke up...we knew we were in for a long night. We had so much to be thankful for this year. We are so lucky to have a healthy baby girl and great family around to enjoy this time with us. We did miss being at Aunt Joan's with the Youell's and Henry's in Sevierville. Hopefully next year will be easier for travelling.
