A Baby Cold

I stayed home from work with Sophie today and she had her first "sick" doctor's visit. Sophie has been congested most of the weekend and last night had her first little cough. She still sounded rough this morning, but we got ready like we normally would, but decided to take her to the doctor when Chad put her in the car seat and she started wheezing. It definitely sounded like it was down in her chest. I didn't want to be the new mother who over reacts, but I knew we needed a little piece of mind to make it through the day. The doctor said she was glad we brought her in and that we should since she is so young. She checked her lungs and they were clear (ruling out RSV) and she is not running a temperature and her ears are fine. All we can do is use a humidifier and saline drops in her nose. It is still so pitiful to hear her little cough. We will see how tonight goes...Chad has already been upstairs 3 times since I put her to bed. I have a feeling we will end up on the couch with her.
