For the third day year in a row we celebrated New Year's Day with David and Carrie and a traditional New Year's meal. I tried to make greens and cooked cabbage. The cabbage was great, but I let the water boil out of the greens and they burned to the bottom of the pot. They ended up on the back patio b/c they smelled so bad. This brought back memories of the time I cooked dinner for David and his roommate in college and burned the chicken while boiling it...maybe one day I'll learn:) Oh yeah...Grandmama and Grandaddy came over for dinner too.
