We ate lunch at Sticky Fingers for lunch after the place we planned wasn't open till noon. Second weekend in a row our Southern Living suggestion didn't work out. On the walk to the aquarium, Jeff realized he was having trouble with his insulin pump and they had to rush home before his sugar got too high. We tried to get a quick picture with them before they had to head back to Atlanta. Guess we will have to try to meet up again soon...maybe next time we won't have such a hard time:)
Sophie loved the aquarium and talked about the birds that talked for days after. They said hello, bye bye and laughed. It was pretty entertaining.
We spent a lot of time at the stingray exhibit. She was funny trying to touch them, but when they flapped up right at her she acted like she couldn't reach!
Sophie was so cute in the butterfly exhibit. She was loving them and was so excited every time she would spot one. Pointing and yelling "there's one!"
We caught the penguins during feeding time so it was pretty entertaining. Just wish it was set up a little different b/c it was hard for Sophie to see the one's on the ground.
Sutton was very content in the baby bjorn and enjoyed the attention he got with his sweet smile. |
Yes, this is my child touching a snake. I had to look at it to take a picture, but I absolutely can not stand snakes and don't even like to look at them. The lady said she always worries about the fearless ones and reminded her that she shouldn't try to touch them when she is at home.
Sophie got a little tired during the second part of the aquarium. I will say that the river side of the aquarium wasn't as good as the ocean side and I'm glad we started with the ocean first. We went ahead and bought a membership to the aquarium since Amber and James have one and we will probably end up back in Chattanooga to meet up with Jeff and Kristin again.
