This past month has flown by and Sophie's vocabulary and ability to communicate has grown so much in such a short period of time. She is consistently saying "thank you (and says your name)" (mostly without being prompted). She has finally started saying Grandaddy instead of making the indian call. Dada has now changed to "Daddy" which is super cute to hear her say:) She is learning colors, letters and numbers (still a long way to go). Everything is "pink" when you first ask her what color it is, but a lot of times she gets it right if you make her stop and think about it. When she counts she almost always says "2, 8, 9, 10", but if I count with her she can get from 1 to 10. She says A, B, C and X, Y, Z but not the in between. If I am singing the song and stop at a letter she will say what comes next a lot of times, but can't just sing the song on her own.
It amazes me how much she remembers and how she can name off almost everyone in the family (with who goes together). Yesterday she brought a book to me and said "thank you God" and it was the book with that title. She LOVES reading books and she and her daddy read a lot. Still loves TV and asks for Mickey, Wyatt (Super Why), and Sid (Sid the Science Kid). Doesn't watch Sesame Street that often, but loves Elmo and Abby. Grandmama has given her Elmo and Abby stuffed animals that she likes to take to her crib with her. On the way up the stairs she and her daddy start saying their prayers and she says.."thank you god for..." a lot of times we get Elmo and Abby first and then family.
Sophie continues to entertain us daily and is such a sweet and sassy little girl. We talk about Sutton everyday and she loves to kiss my belly. I still don't think has a clue that he is going to be here soon and will be with us all the time. I'm excited to see her reaction b/c I just know she is going to love him!
