Visiting Mandy

Chad's friend from high school, Mandy, was in town for a wedding and staying with her dad in Eagleville. She lives in Oklahoma and we haven't seen her since we've been married (I think it has been that long). Her weekend schedule was very busy, but we got to see her for about an hour Thursday night.

Mandy's dad is a songwriter and he let Sophie help him play the guitar as he made up a song about her...she was loving it. She also entertained herself by playing with the change he collected for his grandson...add the word "money" to Sophie's fast growing vocabulary. It is weird to think about how actual money is not part of our everyday life. I very much dislike change and think it is dirty and mostly depend on a debit card instead of carrying cash...it is very rare that she comes in contact with real "money." 

I had to get a picture of her playing with the mannequin head that Mandy's sister uses for beauty school. She was really thought it was like a doll I guess. Chad was teasing her asking her to point out body parts (like toes and arms) that she obviously didn't have. It was funny to watch Sophie stop to think about where they were.
