Tip Tap Toe

Most nights during the week we come home from work, cook dinner and eat as a family at the table. I usually give the kids a bath after dinner while Chad cleans the kitchen. Sometimes the kids help Daddy wash the dishes...you can imagine how well that goes.
Sutton moved by the time I got the camera out, but we was just sitting on his car with his feet propped up as he drank his milk and watched TV.
Sophie is really into drawing on her art easel. Chad taught her how to play (what she calls) Tip Tap Toe. She is actually pretty good at it too. She surprised Grandaddy one day when he came over and she drew the Tip Tap Toe game and knew what to do.

Fun Sunday with Cousins

After church, we had lunch at Nanny and Grandpa's house. The kids love getting to play together and it is fun to watch them interact. We had to pose a picture on the comfy couch...they are almost too big to all fit on it together!

Now they are adding Easter eggs and baskets to the "pinto beach"
Grandmama and Grandaddy decided to cook for lunch too (after we had already made plans to eat at Don and Ginger's). We missed out on the lunch, but went over for dinner and ate left overs. Karlee and Katelyn came home with Mom and Dad after church so they were there also. It was a busy day with lots of eating and playing with cousins. Lots of fun!!!

I think they were kind of worn out by this point

Our Little Artist

Sophie has really gotten good with her drawings and writing her name. This is a picture of herself...we all look like Humpty Dumpty with legs coming right out of our head (notice the feet with toes also). She is consistent with the drawings.
She can write her first and last name. S's are hard and the size of the letters vary, but overall she does a great job! I am so proud of her:)

Sutton and The Dishwasher...

Did I mention that Sutton is INTO EVERYTHING!!! One of his favorite things to do is to open the dishwasher and climb on it to reach things on the counter. Nothing phases him when we are disciplining. He continues to do this over and over. Sometimes I think it is just to get a reaction out of me b/c he will do it and peak his head around the counter to see if I am looking.
Grandmama took these pictures when I was at work. She lets him get by with a lot more than I do.

Gospel Concert at Farmer's Family Restaurant

There is a new restaurant in Murfreesboro called Farmer's Family Restaurant. I think they have another location in Columbia also. We heard on 105 that Jeff and Sherry Easter were going to be there so we decided to check it out. We had heard them in other group concerts before and knew we liked a lot of their songs. This was the first concert at this location and they plan to have one each month. The music was entertaining...I didn't realize how many of their songs I actually knew. The restaurant has a few kinks to work out to make it run a little smoother about getting people seated, but overall it was an enjoyable experience.
The food is a country buffet...pretty good if you like buffets. We probably wouldn't go there just for the food (unless we are meeting others there). Sutton and Sophie enjoyed the music and got lots of attention from other people. Sutton is such a little flirt...he even stopped people as they went by. All the ladies love him!
"Eeeese!!!"

Sophie was most entertained by the game behind her in the pic...we wasted several dollars and still didn't get a stuffed animal:)

Cooper's First Birthday Party

Cooper turned one on the 18th and we celebrated with a cowboy theme. Carrie did a great job with decorating and turning their garage into a little play area for the kids. We had great food and an awesome cake!

My little cowgirl and cowboy!

Chad put together some flower arrangements that morning from flowers he picked up at Kroger. He can make anything look good:)

Not so sure about the candle and everyone singing around him:)

Jeffrey is a for real teenager...I still think of him as a little boy!

Chris and Katie expecting William in the next month

Didn't take him long to dig into the cake...he was loving it!!!

Sutton got his shirt wet so we had to put it in the dryer

Notice the food under Cooper...Sutton went in for the hug and got a little too rough and Chad caught Cooper with his foot before he hit the concrete. Of course I am taking a picture b/c I was trying to get the hug when it happened.

Morgan was at work, but Matt got in the pic with Mom and Dad:)

Lexie is a beautiful young lady...speaking of growing up fast!

Mary Nelle and Ken - the grandparents went with the theme of the party!

You know Big Dave is loving this:)

Cooper and Trey have two hot Grandmothers!
