Storytime and Country Music Hall of Fame

We had planned to meet Kristin, Jeff and Elise in Chattanooga for the day, but Elise woke up sick so we postponed until the next week. We were already up and ready so we decided to find something to entertain us for the day. We started off by going to the Barnes and Noble storytime. It wasn't the best story we've ever heard. It was about Martin Luther King Jr. and it ended with "and he was shot and died." Not exactly what I would call appropriate for the age group! Sophie enjoyed playing with the train before we headed to Nashville.
We had seen on the news that morning that the Country Music Hall of Fame was free for the day so we took advantage of the deal since Chad had wanted to go. We had planned to try a little meat and three downtown that we had read about in Southern Living, but when we got there we realized it is only open during the week. I wasn't too disappointed, because we ended up eating at Brick Tops...one of my favorites!

We started off at the hall of fame with the "musical petting zoo"where Sophie got to play with a few instruments.  The museum was pretty crowded and Sophie was not very interested. Definitely not the best place to entertain a 2 year old. I ended up strolling her around most of the time so that Chad could actually look. I was about as interested as Sophie:) All in all it was a good day.
We got back to Murfreesboro and ran a few errands while the kids slept in the car (I stayed in the car with them...don't worry). Mom made dinner so we headed over and joined Amber, James and the girls. Amber and Sophie were matching so we had to have a picture:)
