Sophie's Minnie Mouse Birthday Party - Part 2

We did a lot of talking about the birthday party before the big day. When you asked her about the party she would say "I be Minnie Mouse." She definitely new the theme of her party, that everything was for her and that her Daddy was doing it:) This made all Chad's hard work worth it. She really got excited about everything and new what was going on. We ordered her dress and bow from Etsy.com.
We had a big crowd for the party. We didn't manage to get many pictures of her with all the family since she was pretty much jumping or doing all the birthday stuff like the cake, the presents and eating.
Did I mention that Chad also made the Mickey and Minnie Mouse ears for the kid's. He painted the headbands black with a permanent marker (the cheap one's he found at Walmart were all different colors) and cut out the ears from a foam sheet and hot glued that to the head band along with a bow he made. I know...way more effort than I would have ever put into it. He just didn't like any that he found online.
 Aren't we cute:)
Katelyn was excited about the Minnie party too:)
Chad was saying the prayer (Sophie pretending to close her eyes). I don't think I took the picture...don't know who had the camera.
We couldn't get Trey to leave the ears on, but we got a picture anyway.
We had chili, hot dogs, baked potatoes, pimento cheese sandwiches and queso for the meal. It all turned out really well. Thanks to everyone who helped us out with making food.

Aunt Morgie helped feed Sophie and Karlee...they love her!
Sophie clapping after everyone sang Happy Birthday to her
We were setting up the table to open gifts and moving them all over when we realize Sophie took it upon herself to start on her own. She was head first in the bag diggin in. Everyone was getting a kick out of it. The present opening time was a little out of control and I was trying hard to see what came out of which bag and make sure we knew who gave it to her. She was very excited about everything!
Sutton slept for most of the party. Thanks to everyone who took care of him and held him while we took care of the birthday girl.
This is a scary thought...how crazy will it be when they are actually driving.
 Our little family:)
He looks real excited about the Mickey ears. Just the beginning of all the things we will have him do for a good picture on the blog:)
 Love the mouse ears!

 Grandmama wore Katelyn's ears

Mom...I know you are probably reading this and wondering why there isn't a picture of Sophie with you and dad, but you guys left quickly so you "didn't get stuck cleaning up" so you missed out on the photo time:)
I can't believe Sophie is 2!!! She really enjoyed her birthday party and a special thanks to all the family who were a part of this special day. This was the invitation that we ordered the pdf off Etsy and printed ourselves at Sam's. It really is a great option for invitations and very quick turn around.
